About Us

Vidya Vikasini School (ICSE) is run by the members of the “Congregation of the Franciscan Missionary Brothers” (CMSF) through a Registered Body “Society of the Franciscan Brothers of Gokhivera,”

Vidya Vikasini High School which started in the year 1977 in a remote and small hamlet of Gokhivera, East of Vasai, provided education on very modest lines but had great aspirations in mind. It strove for excellence and evolved into a mighty institution of learning. The Vidya Vikasini Junior College was a natural progression of Vidya Vikasini English School.

The ICSE section of Vidya Vikasini School came into being when a burning need arose to go beyond the regular run-of-the-mill system. We aimed to push our potential higher, to achieve a broader and more global perspective and to make an impact in our society with an application based, more holistic approach to learning. We started with great enthusiasm with a Student strength of 278 and a Staff strength of 17 in the year 2006. Today in 2023 it has grown into a Student strength of 1597 and a Staff strength of 114 in totality.
